As opposed to the iPad being a 10-inch model, Apple is claiming that iPad 2 will be a 7-inch model with a better resolution than the former. With better resolution comes the awesome iPhone 4 feature 'Retina Display' too. The material to be used to make iPad 2 will be Carbon Fiber rather than Aluminium keeping it lightweight and is said to be made from only one piece of metal. iPad 2 will also be integrated with NFC RFID (Near Field Communication Radio-Frequency Identification) Technology. The touch screen displays are being built by a Taiwan company called Cheimei Innolux and the panels are going to be fabricated with latest IPS (In-Plane Switching) Technology. Apple Facetime as seen in iPhone 4 will be included as well. Facetime enables two users to video conference, literally communicating with a live image of each other on the screen. It will also be thinner than its predecessor and include a Front-facing camera with the standard Rear-facing camera as well.
Apple is also rumored to put a three-axis gyroscope on the iPad but dont be excited, it is not confirmed yet. We all know "i" in the iPad means "Internet" so its supposed to work wirelessly right...print wireless, stream wireless...so you might be thinking why add a USB??? Well yes, iPad will come with a small MicroUSB port and a SD card slot to meet the new EU regulations on variety of mobile device chargers. Dont worry, you can also upload your music, movies or documents with the same USB.
As for the processor running, iPad is suppossed to be powered with the new Qualcomm's multimode chips and will be enabled with both GSM and CDMA networks all around the world. This means 'ONLINE 24/7'!!! The new iOS 4.2 already will make the iPad multitasking ready. So it means do more work, in less time. Of course its going to be Wi-Fi enabled for you to enjoy Wi-Fi games and other Wi-Fi interactive services.
With the release of iPad 2 nearing, its gonna pose as a huge competitor to the tech giants Asus Eee Pad, Blackberry Blackpad and the Amazon Kindle.
Ok, lets hit the main point iPad will be released tomorrow March 2, 2011 at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco. Its a confusion whether Steve Jobs is gonna be present for the release or not because he is currently on a medical leave.
This time Apple iPad 2 is gonna be cheaper than the iPad especially because of a smaller screen size, so we would expect it to be priced around $499.00.
